Hello, and Welcome!
I’m Claire Lucie Sonck, a UK-trained, CMA-registered canine nutritionist; international speaker; and award-nominated entrepreneur, and I’ve dedicated my professional life to improving the health of our dogs through science-backed, fresh, anti-inflammatory nutrition.
Through my work with thousands of dogs and their guardians, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how nutrition influences allergies, chronic disease, longevity, and overall wellbeing. To date, I’ve helped more than 3,800 dogs and reached dog parents in over 65 countries, guiding them in transitioning their dogs toward healthier, biologically appropriate meals and influencing millions of dog parents through social media to adopt healthier diets for their dogs.
I specialise in gut health and anti-inflammatory nutrition for the prevention and management of chronic diseases, including allergies, digestive disorders, and skin conditions — areas where nutrition plays a powerful role.
My work is supported by an extensive review of more than 1,200 peer-reviewed scientific studies on canine nutrition, inflammation, and the prevention and management of chronic diseases through nutrition. Alongside my professional work, I’m currently studying for a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at a leading UK university, further strengthening the scientific foundation of my research and education in canine nutrition.
As an educator and speaker, I’ve presented my work at international veterinary and academic events, including the AVA Summit in Los Angeles and the University of Edinburgh. I also collaborate with scientists, veterinarians, and rescue organisations on research initiatives and practical nutrition strategies for dogs both in family homes and in shelter environments.
But before all of that, my journey began with my childhood dog, Blacky, whose transformation after switching to a fresh, home-prepared diet inspired what would become my life’s work.
Today, I continue this journey alongside my rescue puppy Kenya, who happily taste-tests many of my recipes and keeps me connected to the everyday realities of being a dog parent.
Through my books, educational resources, social media, and speaking engagements, I’m passionate about helping dog guardians make informed, science-based decisions about nutrition.
My work is guided by a simple belief:
Every dog deserves the opportunity to live a long, healthy life — free from preventable pain and chronic disease — and to enjoy more joyful years with the people who love them.
With love,
Claire Lucie
